Peaceful forest path leading toward light

The People Behind the Retreat

You're talking to someone who's been there.

Peer-Led Support

Every coach here has lived through addiction. That's not a detail — it's the whole point.

There's a difference between someone who studied addiction and someone who survived it. Our coaches are the second kind. They know what withdrawal feels like. They know the shame spiral. They know what it's like to want to get better and not know how.

That lived experience doesn't replace professional care — it sits alongside it. Our coaches aren't therapists, and they won't pretend to be. But when you need someone to talk to who actually gets it, they're here.

They've been where you are

Our coaches aren't reading from a manual. They've lived through addiction, withdrawal, relapse, and recovery. That shared experience creates a kind of trust that's hard to build any other way.

No judgment — ever

When you've been through it yourself, you lose the capacity to judge. Our coaches know that addiction isn't a character flaw. They've felt the shame firsthand, and they won't add to yours.

Honest, not clinical

You'll get straight talk, not jargon. Our coaches speak plainly about what recovery actually looks like — the hard days, the small wins, and everything in between.

Support on your terms

Coaching at Lynn's is flexible. You set the pace. Whether you want daily check-ins or space to breathe, your coach follows your lead.

What to Expect

What coaching at Lynn's actually looks like.

Our coaches aren't running group sessions or following a curriculum. They're available to you — on your schedule, in your space, at whatever level of support feels right.

01

One-on-one conversations

Sit down with your coach whenever you need to talk — about cravings, about fear, about the good days and the hard ones. No agenda, no clock.

02

Check-ins on your terms

Some guests want daily contact. Others need space. Your coach adapts to what works for you — not the other way around.

03

Honest guidance, not advice

Coaches share their own experience and perspective. They won't tell you what to do — but they'll walk alongside you while you figure it out.

A Note on Professional Care

Our coaches offer peer support — not therapy, counselling, or medical care. If you're working with a therapist, psychiatrist, or other healthcare provider, we actively encourage that and welcome them to visit you here.

Peer support and professional care work best together. We're here to fill the space in between — the 2am moments, the quiet afternoons, the days when you just need someone who gets it.
