About the Retreat
What this place is — and what it isn't.
What We Are
A private place to do the work, at your own pace.
Lynn's Recovery Retreat is a private, self-directed sober living retreat on the lake. We offer 90-day stays in a quiet, comfortable, substance-free environment — with a fully stocked kitchen, on-site laundry, lake access, forest trails, and peer recovery coaches available when you want them.
We're not a treatment centre. We don't run group sessions, clinical programs, or structured schedules. What we offer is space — real, private, unhurried space — to focus on your recovery the way that works for you.
Pets are welcome. Family visits are encouraged. Outside practitioners can come to you. The rest is up to you.
What We're Not
Honest about our limits.
We're not a detox facility. We're not equipped to support active withdrawal or medical emergencies. Guests need to arrive sober and medically stable.
We're not a licensed clinical treatment program. Our recovery coaches offer peer support — not therapy, counselling, or medical advice. If you need clinical care, we'll encourage you to access it and support you in doing so.
We're not a group home or shared facility. This is a private retreat. Your space is yours.
Who This Is For
This place works best for people who are ready.
You've done the detox.
You're medically stable and ready to focus on the longer work of building a sober life.
You need a change of environment.
Your current surroundings aren't working. You need distance, quiet, and a place that isn't loaded with triggers.
You want to do this your way.
You're not looking for a rigid program. You want support available when you need it, and space when you don't.
You want your people nearby.
Your pet, your partner, your kids — they matter to your recovery. You don't want to leave them behind for 90 days.
You've tried shorter stays.
You know from experience that 28 days isn't enough. You're ready to commit to the time it actually takes.
You want to talk to someone who gets it.
Not a clinician reading from a textbook — someone who has actually been where you are.
House Policies
Simple rules. Serious about one of them.
Substance-free property
The retreat is completely substance-free. No alcohol, recreational drugs, or non-prescribed medications are permitted on the property at any time. This applies to guests and any visitors.
Self-directed stay
There's no mandatory programming, group sessions, or scheduled activities. Your time is your own. We're here to support you, not to manage you.
Pets welcome with notice
Pets are welcome. We ask that you let us know in advance so we can prepare. Guests are responsible for their animals at all times.
Family visits encouraged
Family and close friends are welcome to visit. Overnight stays are available in the family cabin. We ask that all visitors respect the substance-free environment.
Outside practitioners welcome
Therapists, counsellors, and other practitioners are welcome to visit guests on-site. We ask that visits be arranged in advance.
Privacy and confidentiality
Guest information is never shared. The property is private. What happens here stays here.

Still Have Questions?
The best way to know is to ask.
